  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Infrastructure Project, LA - Developed the fifty (50) year operations and maintenance costs for design using MII cost estimating system, drafted the narrative describing the operations and maintenance activities, converted other project costs to the MII system, and undertook the economic risk analysis to determine contingency value.
  • Construction Surety, GA - Insurer sought written guidance on risk areas involving general contractors and owners for large scale environmental construction projects.
  • Architectural/Engineering Errors and Omissions Insurance Provider, GA - Insurer required review of E&O policy claims to determine criteria for issuance of new policies.
  • DOT Projects, GA - Provided designer with cost engineering services including quantity verification and quality control services required for highway bridge design projects.
  • Process Plant, OH - In addition to other services, owner sought a "bottoms up" cost estimate to construct a $70 million slurry processing plant.
  • Medical Campus, AZ - Owner required cost estimates to verify contractor's $35 million bid to construct three office buildings on a corporate campus.
  • Subdivision, GA - Owner needed cost estimate for large scale drilling and blasting of rock for construction of 100 unit subdivision.
  • Process Plant, OH - Provided owner with a delay analysis for a dispute involving contractor and subcontractor.
  • Power Plant, TX - Subcontractor sought compensation for alleged delays caused by suppliers and project owner.
  • Residential, Commercial and Hotel Development, HI - Assisted owner with EIS and master planning issues on a 500+ acre site including a marina, 2,000 residential units, 600 hotel units and supporting retail and commercial space.
  • Dahlonega Retail Center, GA - Master plan of a 15,000 square foot design-build retail center including site work.
Claims Consulting
  • Retail Complex Project, GA - A general contractor and owner disagreed on the constructed value of a commercial complex.
  • DOT Bridge Project, UT - A subcontractor/supplier brought suit against the general contractor after a 14 mile highway project was terminated by the owner.
  • University Sports Building, GA - A contractor brought suit against the owner for termination on a $16 million sports educational building.
  • Outdoor Music Pavilion, IL - A structural steel manufacturer/fabricator and a general contractor brought claims against each other totaling $26 million alleging non-payment of change orders and schedule delays.
  • Government Office Building, AL - A $39 million suit involving the owner of a 650,000 square foot building and the federal government agency occupant alleging failure to maintain the building.
  • Private Prison, Southeastern, USA - Following an accidental electrical shock, an employee filed an action against the facility alleging negligence on the part of the prison owner.
  • Highway Project, AZ - A contractor disputed the findings of the Government on an 11.1 mile highway project that included drilling and blasting for mass excavation, on-site aggregate production, paving, structural excavation retaining walls, drainage and miscellaneous work.
  • Failed Retaining Wall, GA - Defendant required damage calculations to stabilize failed retaining wall at custom residence.
  • Church, GA - Church Board sought assistance in determining damages when general contractor defaulted on the construction of a church addition.
  • Nuclear Waste Disposal Site, Midwest, USA - A subcontractor brought suit against the owner citing wrongful termination on a design-build-operate contract for the removal of 10,000 tons of radium and thorium waste.
  • Agricultural Land, GA - An adjacent landowner brought suit against a developer of a subdivision alleging damage to crop land and loss of crop income due to flooding caused by revised drainage.
  • Commercial Nuclear Waste Disposal Facility, SC - The operator of a 235 acre disposal facility for commercial radioactive waste required an activity based cost assessment of its operations to support a rate request to the state's regulatory agency.
  • United States Air Force Base Bombing Range, Midwest, USA - A contractor brought suit for alleged failure to compensate for change orders and schedule delays for remediation of exploded and unexploded ordinance.
  • Environmental Remediation for Apartment Complexes, GA - Owner sought remediation protocol for mold and mildew after fire destroyed significant parts of two apartment complexes.
Management Consulting
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, External Independent Technical Review, LA - A detailed review of the cost estimates, schedules and risk analysis for the 230 projects that comprised the USACE Hurricane Protection System (now the Hurricane Storm Damage Risk Reduction System). The cost estimates had been prepared in the USACE MII cost estimating system. The schedules had been developed in Primavera P5™ and the risk analysis had been undertaken in PertMaster™.
  • Processing Facility, GA - Partnered with contractor to construct a processing facility, including 5,000 square foot building, 20,000 square foot outdoor processing pad and related support facilities.
  • Federal Contract, Iraq - Drafted and coordinated a contractor's request for review of a $300 million contract for infrastructure construction in Iraq.
  • Environmental Remediation, GA - Provided complete construction management including: remediation protocol management, contractor selection, contractor oversight, and post-remediation sampling for office space in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Revision of Corporate Proposal Devolvement Manual, Washington, DC - An international engineering, procurement and construction ("EPC") firm found it necessary to modify its corporate proposal development manual to meet the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Commercial Development Project, GA - Assisted in the development of a program pro forma and related budgets for the re-development of a former automotive manufacturing plant.
  • Environmental Remediation Economic Assessment, Nationwide - Data analysis and review for the purpose of the determining economic impact of fuel storage tank spills.
